Cocchi tops Drinks International’s Annual Brands Report in the Vermouth category
Cocchi’s Vermouths confirm that they are among the most loved by the best barmen in the world, obtaining the first place among the Best Selling Brands and the first place among the Top Trending Brands in the category: 2024 could not have started better for the Asti-based company, which for the eighth consecutive time, conquers the highest steps of the podium of the Annual Brands Report of Drinks International magazine, the ranking considered the most authoritative point of reference for professionals in the beverage sector, drawn up every year by the British magazine.
Drinks International’s annual report compiles top ten rankings by product category (not only Vermouth but also Gin, Amari, Whisky for example), according to a double ranking: Best Selling, which takes sales volumes in the specific channel of top bars as an indicator, and Top Trending, which rewards the trendiest brands.
The rankings are compiled based on feedback from a panel of industry experts (venue owners, bar managers and bartenders) on the three best labels in their venues for each of the two rankings.
The survey is conducted among 100 venues selected on the basis of their performance in major international (The World’s 50 Best Bars, Tales of the Cocktail’s Spirited Awards, Top 500 Bars) and national competitions on five continents.
“We have earned this recognition over the years thanks to our constant focus on quality and tireless dissemination work. Cocchi takes first place, but it also does so for the denomination ‘Vermouth di Torino’ after having triggered a real renaissance in the category and having rebuilt a geographical identity over the years with the joint work of fellow Piedmontese producers and the Consorzio di Tutela del Vermouth di Torino,” says Cocchi CEO Roberto Bava.
