The World famous event has been running since 1913 and is THE place to see cutting-edge garden design, new plants and find ideas to spruce up you garden for the summer. Of course you’ll need a lovely drink to sip in the garden (or beer garden!) and given my love of Aperitif I predict an Italian Summer of spruced up Spritz!
.
So it’s great to see that @Giuliococchi have developed two @CocchiSpritz recipes to upgrade your spritz, they are both simple to do and let the vermouth shine through!
.
Earlier this week I managed to get a sneak peak of the recipes as part of Cocchi’s collaboration with @polpo_restaurants. Polpo Chelsea will be joining in with the flower show fun by creating an “Under the Sea” theme for their restaurant/bar including a giant floral octopus installation!
.
If you’re in the area during 20th-26th May be sure to visit and see for yourself, sip a Spritz and soak in the sun on their lovely outdoor terrace. If you get there for Aperitivo time (4-6pm) then #CocchiSpritz are just £5 each, and be sure to pair it with some lovely Cicheti Italian bites, trust me they were yum!

COCCHI AMERICANO SPRITZ 
50ml #CocchiAmericano Vermouth
25ml Fresh Grapefruit Juice
75ml Prosecco
Garnish: Mint Sprig
Method: Shake all except fizz with ice, strain into an ice filled glass, top with fizz

COCCHI ROSA SPRITZ
50ml #CocchiRosa Vermouth 
100ml #Fevertree Mediterranean Tonic
Garnish: Add some halved strawberries & basil
Method: Build over ice, top with tonic, stir & enjoy the floral berry flavours!

I’ve recreated them both in wine glasses but you can also serve in tumblers like Polpo did, see my other pictures from Polpo’s #CoventGarden restaurant. So no excuses buy one or make one to make it a #SummerofSpritz!

We distill the alcohol products untill there is almost no fluid remaining the the distillation flask. All is left is super flavor sensed syrup. We lengthen that with water and voila!

45ml Cocchi Torino distillate residue
45ml Campari distillate residue
5ml Tia Maria distillate residue
3 dashes of salt
Stirred up and zest with an orange peel
