Cocchi at Roma Bar Show 2026

Cocchi will be at the Roma Bar Show, taking place on September 14 and 15, 2026, at La Nuvola Convention Centre in Rome.

The Cocchi stand will be B-12 (Hall, -1 floor). The stand will celebrate the 135th anniversary of the founding of Cocchi.

The star of the Cocchi stand: Barolo Chinato “tipo Esportazione”

The highlight of the Cocchi stand will be the special Barolo Chinato “tipo Esportazione”, available in a limited edition.

Produced continuously since the company’s earliest years, Barolo Chinato has accompanied the history and evolution of Giulio Cocchi. It has always been one of the company’s most iconic and emblematic products. So much so that the “tasting branches” opened by founder Giulio Cocchi between Piedmont and Liguria in the early 20th century often took names inspired by it, such as “Barolino Cocchi” and “Bar Barolino”. Barolo Chinato was also invariably featured among the company’s key products on shop signs, commercial postcards and letterheads.

Its elegance and distinctive character have ensured that it never went out of fashion. The Cocchi Barolo Chinato labels produced over the years have retained the key elements that distinguished them from the very beginning, from the prominence given to the numerous Grand Prizes and Honours awarded to the wine to the emphasis on China bark, the leading botanical among the spices used in its aromatisation. These elements have helped make this wine instantly and distinctively recognisable.

This special “Barolo Chinato tipo Esportazione” is produced in a limited series of just 1891 individually numbered bottles.

It celebrates and highlights this long and successful tradition, following Giulio Cocchi’s original recipe, developed to create a wine perfectly suited to long ageing and ideal storage for export markets. This reflects the company’s history, when Cocchi wines travelled to distant destinations including the United States, South America, Colonial Africa and Australia.

The China Botanical Tour begins in Rome

William Wu Wei, Head Bartender at Twenty One Club in Xi’an, China, will be a guest at the Cocchi stand on September 14 from 12:00 to 15:00, presenting a menu that previews the concept behind the China Botanical Tour.

On September 15 from 15:00 to 17:00, the Cocchi stand will welcome Christian Comparone from Lonely Avenue in Rome.
