Giulio Cocchi, the boutique winery based in Asti since 1891, boasts a fine tradition in the production of Metodo Classico and Metodo Italiano sparkling wines for over 120 years, carrying worldwide the name and the unmistakable quality of Cocchi.

Yet in 1913 there were seven
Giulio Cocchi's retail and tasting branches only in Piedmont and the presence of Cocchi in world's markets is evidenced by bills of lading in New York, London, Sidney, in colonial Africa and Venezuela, where it was founded, in Caracas, the "Casa Cocchi de Venezuela" who worked for a long time. Someone said he saw a mirror of the original Cocchi advertising in a bar in Addis Ababa.

2012 was a year of great achievements for Giulio Cocchi, nevertheless the 2013 is marked by the election of Giulio  Bava, owner
of Cocchi with his brothers, as President of Consorzio Alta Langa and the entry of Cocchi in Spirit of Italy, the group
of Italy’s most historic and popular distilleries  inspired by the common goal to promote the culture of premium Italian spirits (Amaro Lucano, Cocchi, Luxardo, Distillerie Moccia, Distilleria Nardini, Pallini, Toschi and Distilleria Varnelli).


The book ‘Futurist Mixology – Polibibite, the autarchic italan answer to the cocktails of the 1930s’ by barman and expert Fulvio Piccinino has been published for CocchiBooks.


Giulio Cocchi launches its new sparkling wine Alta Langa Docg PAS DOSÉ.

Appreciate the rigour of Pinot Noir fragrance which, united to a well-defined taste and its remarkable freshness, matches with the long lasting savouriness of this Alta Langa vintage 2008.

“In the course of harvest 2008, the acidity and thickness of that Pinot Nero made us bet on the good result of a long aging” explains Giulio Bava, oenologue at Cocchi.

Six years later, tasting the bottles sur lattes, we realized how this cuvée just made of Pinot Noir could give its best expression without dosage and without sugar addition.
Cocchi Pas Dosé Alta Langa Docg comes out this year with 5000 bottles and 500 Magnum.
